Welcome to Made BLK

And welcome to my creative process. In essence, this blog, site and its products are all what happens when I get an idea and Reese from Surly Shirts (surlyshirts.com) tells me no, and to go make it myself. I hope you're happy, Reese.

Made BLK stands for Made by Lauren Kennedy which is most of my name. About 6 years ago, I taught myself how to make paper flowers and started selling them under the name Made by Lauren Kennedy - Made BLK. And while I am actually Black, the BLK is actually just a coincidence. Or serendipitous. Either way, pretty cool, right? And since it's cool, I thought I would hope that coolness sprinkles itself into my designs and ideas like magical glitter. I like to think I have good tastes and an interesting perspective and like to share the thinks I like and I hope you like them, too.

Don't you hate it when you're looking for a recipe and you find it on a blog and the author makes you go through this meandering tale about how the recipe turned out or where it came from or whatever? Well this is about to be the t-shirt/housewares/other stuff equivalent of that. Except you care. YOU CARE, RIGHT?! So, let's give it 6 months and see what happens.
